This is Mafalda--the innocent child in a beloved Argentine comic strip who is concerned about politics and the concerning things going on in the country.
And, below, are my lovely Brazilian friends whom I adore will ALL my heart. From left to right: Jussier, Elaine, Me, Luisa, and Milton. This picture was taken the day that we went to the San Telmo market. I believe it was Sunday, July 8, 2012. We had a great time, filled with laughter and many memories. We took pictures with Mafalda, ate at this quaint little Italian bistro, and then we just walked around the open air market. We saw street performers, a man who dressed up like Jack Sparrow who looked eerily like Johnny Depp, people tango-ing, and an Argentine swing band. 'Twas a jolly good time :)
Although, looking at this picture makes me miss Elaine. She went home yesterday morning, and there is consequently a Elaine-shaped hole in my life. Sadness.
And, below is a video of people dancing Paso Doble--which is just utterly adore-- in the streets of La Boca. It was much more exciting to watch in person; nevertheless, a video will have to suffice.
